Hempel Hempadur 35760

Hempel Hempadur 35760 is a solvent-free, two-component, high-build phenolic epoxy paint, which cures to a durable tank lining with very high corrosion protection properties and excellent chemical resistance.

Best Uses

Hempel Hempadur 35760 is ideal as a tank lining for new and old storage tanks containing oils, fuels, bio fuels and a wide range of chemicals. It can be used in conjunction with fibre glass to form a resilient reinforced tank lining.

Product Compatibility

• Previous coat: None or according to Hempel’s specification.
• Recommended product is: Hempel Hempadur 15590
• Subsequent coat: None.

Application

• Remove oil, grease and other contaminants by suitable detergent cleaning. Remove salts, detergents and other contaminants by high pressure fresh water cleaning.
• New build: Abrasive blasting to min. Sa 2½ (ISO 8501-1) / SP 10 (SSPC). Remove dust, blast media and loose materials.
• Maintenance and Repair: Spot abrasive blasting to min. PSa 2½ (ISO 8501-2) / SP 10(SSPC). Water jetting to Wa 2½ (ISO 8501-4). Flash rust degree of maximum FR M (ISO 8501-4). Remove dust, blast media and loose materials.

Apply via airless spray.

To avoid condensation, apply on a clean and dry surface with atemperature that is at least 3°C [5°F] above the dew point. Surface temperature must be above 10°C [50°F] during application and curing. Temperature of product must be above 15°C [59°F] during application. Increased paint temperatures will significantly reduce the pot life. Be aware that mixed paint will develop heat very fast and could reach temperatures exceeding 25°C [77°F].  Relative humidity must be below 80% during application.
